BB4I: Leadership Skills is structured to allow you to work through each Module and complete the exercises in each section in your own space and at your pace.  

Each post/section will have a combination of the following:

• A topic to read through;
• A video to watch;
• An interaction such as role play activity, assessment/quiz to complete;
• Support materials and resources to download;
• Pre-Course and End of Course Questionnaires enable us to ensure this course does what it says it will: providing participants with thought-leadership skills and tools to lead inclusively and create brave space.

BB4I: LGBTQ2+ 101 (60 Mins.)

• Why Beyond Binary inclusion skills are essential in your workplace.

BB4I: Beyond Binary Bias (60 Mins.)

• Gain understanding of bias and types which negatively impact working relationships and environments.
• Strengthen awareness and understanding of intersections of identity to support building positive relationships through intentionally inclusive interaction.
• Gain understanding of micro-aggressions and impacts of minority stress.
• Real-life stories and experiences and scenarios to build thought-leadership capacity.
• Tools to develop bias checks and shift potentially harmful language and inspire brave and safe learning environments.

BB4I: Pronoun Power-Up & Inclusive Communication (60 Mins.)

• Build thought-leadership capacity through listening to real-life examples, with an intersectional approach focused on gender neutral language.
• Non-verbal skills for professional writing, recruitment and on-boarding of new hires.
• Verbal Skills: Knowledge of communication best-practices and knowledge of harmful language.
• Understanding of 'they' in history and gender variant cultures from around the world.
• Actionable practise tips and strategies;
• Confidence to understand steps to take when a mistake happens.

The complete 3 Part Series empowers you and your teams with solid strategies, essential communication practices and decision-making skills to build inclusive, equitable professional spaces where all can thrive and are welcome.

Asynchronous learning has an added benefit of inspiring 100% engagement from participants in watching the videos, engaging in quizzes and applying the learning. Learners can speed up , slow down and pause videos; choose to read along with closed captions and work through the program on a self-paced schedule.

Workshops provide opportunity for great group discussions and sharing input.

Our unique e-Learning delivery is designed to support you in building thought-leadership skills at your own pace, in a fun and engaging way.

Each Module is completed in sequence and additional courses are available to continue building your skills and knowledge. Upon completion of this course, you'll receive a course certificate accreditation!

This Leadership Skills Inclusion course is a valuable accreditation to add to your professional development assets.

A commitment of approx. 3.0 hours of working through the e-learning program and participation in activities will be required to earn accreditation.

You'll be able to download each certificate upon completion of the individual course.

At SGF, we acknowledge that organizations embarking on this kind of EDIA education must be cognizant of the diverse identities of participants and potential trauma and/or personal triggers which can be caused by mandatory training initiatives, which include trans and non-binary team members.

This series is designed for those who are looking to gain a better understanding and skillset to support inclusion of trans, non-binary and gender expansive individuals. It is predominantly designed for cisgender participants.

With this stated, the experiences shared within this program are all uniquely personal to every individual and we acknowledge there are no two alike experiences or journey's.  Our diverse team of trans and non-binary educators and cis-allies are learning every day from shared experiences and therefore we feel confident there is always an opportunity for everyone to grow from this program.

We strive to create brave spaces to encourage thoughtful conversations. For anyone who has been personally impacted by similar experiences, this type of content may, on one hand, make a person feel seen and validated, and on the other, trigger feelings of deep hurt.

We want to emphasize the importance of prioritizing taking care of yourselves and your fellow learners.
